People in Darwin are worried about what’s happening to communities with this Federal Government Intervention

We’re hearing that people in communities are hurting and are very worried. We would like to show our support.

We’re asking the question:

"What has this legislation go to do with saving the children?"

This legislation seems to have nothing to do with saving the children. We don’t understand how things like scrapping CDEP and doing away with permit rights has anything to do with the health of your children.

We’ve asked people like Olga from Women For Wik, Cath Mills, Matthew Bonson, lawyers and doctors to come and talk to the Darwin community about the legislation at a special rally. If you are going to be in Darwin please come along and make sure your voice is heard.

Public Rally: Saturday 15 September, 10am at Raintree Park, Smith Street Mall, Darwin. Everyone is welcome! Please wear black clothing if you can.

We believe that Aboriginal people should have a say in what happens in their communities and on their land. We want you to know that people in Darwin support you and your rights.

If you want more information about what we’re doing or have ideas about how we can support you and your community please call us on 0424 028 741.

In case you haven’t been told, there is a government number you can call if you have any complaints or questions about the new legislation. Call the Federal Government on 1800 333 995.

Please pass this message through your community.
