There is no doubt that some indigenous communities need help but not like this. The government must work hand in hand with the community for the community.

Theresa Gordon, ACT, 25 October 2007

I am pleased the government intends to increase spending to improve the quality of life in aboriginal communities in the Northern Territory. At the same time I concerned about the effects of the abolition of the CDEP scheme on community arts centres, and the potential impacts of this on artists, art workers and their communities. Urgent action needs to be taken to ensure there are no adverse impacts on this major source of community strength.

Dr Ruth Skilbeck, NSW, 25 October 2007

How dare Brough demand the resignation of Marion Scrymgour!! Marion has eloquently described the deep and abiding reservations of many Australians in her criticism of the racist intervention, and yet again a Minister of the Howard Govt. turns bully, and demands the sacking of one who has the temerity to disagree.
Bad move, Mr. Brough. We all know who should be sacked, and it ain’t Marion.
