Protect our babies and provide them with a future that is no longer hostile.

I have posted comments on the net about the horror of this impaired intervention. I have also pointed out that the white community aren't treated in this way when child abuse occurs and is reported. It is mandatory that it be kept confidential. It is a disgrace the way our Aboriginal People are being treated. I am really sorry that the 'little man' in charge is so insensitive, indiscreet and thoughtless. The whole process is discriminatory and a complete disgrace to us all.

My parents were both strong supporters of the rights of indigenous people. David Unaipon often visited us. I was part of a group that helped to set up Narana Creations in Geelong. I'm so glad to support Women For WIK.

Yet again the indigenous communities are persecuted. I cannot understand how bringing in the ARMY is going to solve to social problems within the communities that the Howard Government has IGNORED for the past 10 years.

I attended your public meeting in Sydney on Sunday 14 Oct. It was incredibly powerful and informative. Thank you so much for everything you are doing on this extremely important matter. I am deeply concerned about the legislation and outraged this could actually be happening.

It’s about time the Federal Govt; Brough and Howard and the others actually asked Indigenous Australians what they want for their people? I teach Australian History and the Year 10 students know what self-determination, sorry and reconciliations means. Sadly the federal Govt members would fail this part of the Australian History civics and citizenship course. The Year 11 Legal Studies students know what institutionalised inequality is and how complex human rights issues are for all minority groups. It seems there is no genuine informed moral leadership from the Govt on indigenous issues and rights.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander voices must be heard and acted upon so that human rights, justice and equity become a reality.

It is outrageous that Tourists and Hunters can now access Community Land without permission, which may exacerbate problems in some Communities. This intervention has also penalised the Communities and people who have addressed or are addressing any issues in many instances without any mainstream support. The lack of suitable employment (and consequently, perpetuating aimlessness which we are supposed to be rectifying!!) for those denied access to the CDEP is also of great concern.
