This current legislation is a repeat of the Protection Acts of the 1890's and the assimilation period between 1940-1970 and will have the same results.

Parts of Australia were officially invaded by Australian military and police forces in 2007, in an act by the Commonwealth government that was essentially about delivering proper community services and protections, the very issues communities have been requesting through their own underfunded agencies for a long time...are non-Aboriginal communities ever similarly invaded, or are the services and protections simply provided as a matter of 'being'.
